Health & Safety FAQ's

Who is responsible for my Health & Safety onsite?

As is normal, you are responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others around you whilst on any site. You must adhere, at all times, with the clients health and safety policies and take any instruction from the client or client’s representatives. The client will inform you of any site specific health and safety issues. You must wear all necessary PPE as instructed at all times. Please inform us immediately if you are asked to work in any unusual or adverse working conditions.

Is there drug & alcohol testing on site?

Drug & alcohol testing is a Mandatory requirement on all sites and testing will take place at the time and place requested by the client. These can be randomly done throughout your working day.

What is the procedure/s policy should I have a accident on site?

The client has various processes in place to deal with the unlikely event of an accident on site. You should therefore report any incident immediately to the clients representative onsite and follow that by calling and informing us (or making sure that somebody else calls to inform us), you should realise that the client is well versed in the procedures following any incident and can be of great help should any further action or treatment of any kind be necessary. (Remember – a near miss is potentially a serious accident in waiting) near misses should also be reported at the earliest opportunity.

Do I need to take my own PPE

Yes, please take to site with you your hard hat, boots (lace up no steel showing,) prescription safety glasses if required. The client may provide you with additional safety equipment dependent on your trade. Any hand tools you feel you may require to carry out your duties as defined in your contract. But these must be in good condition and not “home made”
